Eastern Kentucky University Programs in Physics

To the prospective physics student: Eastern Kentucky University programs in physics are outlined below and on the following pages. In our advanced physics courses there is typically a low stuent to teacher ratio. You will have the opportunity to learn about many different fields of physics including: classical mechanics, electricity and magnetism, quantum mechanics, optics, electrical circuits, and many more. A physics degree can lead to many different careers. Many of our graduates go directly into graduate school with a full financial aid package and stipend (that's right, you get paid to go to school!). However, grad school is not the only option for a physics student. People with physics degrees are actively sought in education, law, and industry (among others) as well. The problem solving skills you will learn in physics will ensure that you are well prepared for the work force.
